LENNOX KOLLISON KOLLIE

What Did you enjoy about the program?

Firstly, I want to thank the almighty God for giving me the strength to complete the entire program and I also want to thank the Administration of FISORI for their timely communication and constant reminder for every session. This is a well organized institution that truly cares about it students.

However, I found this program "Research Tools & Software in Biostatistics" highly engaging. Our lecturers abilities to move seamlessly from foundational concepts to practical application, such as utilizing the extensive package ecosystem in all software that were used was enjoyable.

Lastly, the most satisfying aspect was the program's structured approach to complex topics. Thank you, FISORI. I look forward to more of these in the nearest future.

PROFILE

Name: LENNOX KOLLISON KOLLIE

Lennox Kollison Kollie grew up during a period marked by national recovery after the Liberian Civil Unrest. Raised in Monrovia, his early childhood was shaped by the socioeconomic challenges that affected many Liberian communities during the country’s reconstruction period. Yet, these experiences also nurtured in him a strong sense of responsibility, resilience, and a desire to contribute to rebuilding the nation. From a young age, Lennox excelled academically and demonstrated a deep curiosity about society, policy, and the factors that influenced the lives of ordinary Liberians. These interests gradually evolved into a passionate commitment to youth development, governance, social reform, and economic empowerment.

Lennox’s educational journey is marked by excellence, leadership, and a commitment to using knowledge as a tool for transformation. He graduated as Valedictorian of J.L. Morris High School, earning a diploma in 2018 with a strong academic record. His passion for economics, leadership, and public service led him to the United Methodist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) in 2024. Alongside his degree, he completed advanced studies in public administration and participated in multiple professional development trainings at reputable institutions such as the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), Tag-Liberia, Mercy Corps, and the Ministry of Labor’s Mind the Gap Program. He later deepened his expertise by completing specialized training in Addiction Science, earning him recognition as one of Liberia’s youngest Certified Addiction Professionals (ICAP-I).

His pursuit of education did not stop in Liberia. Driven by a commitment to regional expertise and global competitiveness, Lennox moved to Nairobi, Kenya, where he embarked on advanced graduate studies. He is currently an MBA Candidate specializing in Entrepreneurship at Kenya Methodist University, as well as a Master of Arts in Economics and Statistics Candidate at Mount Kenya University, specializing in Development Economics. These programs strengthen his analytical skills and enhance his ability to design, evaluate, and implement development-focused policies and entrepreneurial solutions in Africa.

Lennox’s professional journey reflects a blend of public service, research, youth leadership, and entrepreneurship. He began his career at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, serving as an Office Assistant from 2018 to 2023. In this role, he supported key administrative functions, facilitated communications across departments, and assisted with the organization of official documentation and reporting. His time in government exposed him to the operational realities of public institutions and deepened his understanding of governance, administrative systems, and national development priorities.

Beyond government service, Lennox demonstrated outstanding leadership in the civil society and youth development space. In 2017, he founded the Youth Action for Progressive Initiative (YAPI), a youth-led organization dedicated to promoting inclusive and quality education in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4. As Executive Director, he led strategic planning, coordinated research teams, mobilized resources, and engaged parents, schools, communities, and policymakers in youth-centered advocacy. His activism in combating drug abuse and the commercial sexual exploitation of adolescents earned him national recognition, including being honored as the 2020 Destiny Recovery Program Special Youth of the Year.

Lennox has also served in leadership roles with organizations addressing youth empowerment and life skills development. He worked as Program Coordinator for the Transformers Club Liberia and the Liberia College of Life Skills (LIBCOLS), where he supported the design and implementation of programs that helped young people build essential life skills, engage in constructive citizenship, and develop personal discipline. His administrative and leadership experience expanded further when he became the Coordinator of the A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center, where he managed strategic plans, supervised staff, developed policies, and built partnerships to ensure inclusive service delivery and high-quality academic support for Liberian students.

In addition to public service and youth leadership, Lennox has pursued entrepreneurship with a strong social development focus. As founder of CleanPak, a refillable liquid soap and detergent kiosk initiative, he introduced an eco-friendly business model aimed at improving sanitation accessibility in underserved communities. CleanPak blends sustainability, affordability, and innovation, representing his broader vision to create community-based solutions that address the persistent challenges faced by low-income households.

Lennox’s intellectual contributions are evident in his research and thought leadership. He has written multiple opinion pieces and conducted extensive academic research, most notably his graduate-level study on the Influence of Human Capital Development on Poverty Reduction in Liberia. Lennox academic and analytical work demonstrates commitment to evidence-based policymaking and a vision for national growth anchored in education, skills development, and youth empowerment.

His personal life is influenced by strong Christian values. A committed member of the Martha Tubman Memorial United Methodist Church, he served as Program Chairperson for the Monrovia District Youth Fellowship, where he pioneered impactful platforms such as the “Youth Talk” series. These programs equipped hundreds of young people with spiritual, social, and professional guidance. Today, he continues his faith-driven leadership in Nairobi, where he mentors international students, preaches motivational sermons, and provides academic and career guidance.

Across his various roles, Lennox is guided by the belief that youth are central to Liberia’s transformation and that leadership is a lifelong calling rooted in service, integrity, and innovation. His life’s work reflects a commitment to expanding opportunities, reducing poverty, tackling harmful social practices, and building systems that uplift communities. Whether through public policy, social entrepreneurship, addiction counseling, or youth advocacy, he has consistently positioned himself as a catalyst for meaningful change.
