What Did you enjoy about the Classes?

I enjoyed the PowerPoint presentations, the explanation, the support materials and the quizzes.
I have also found very interesting courses on research design and project implementation.
This part of the training was important because it included some tips related to daily situations managed in research and project areas.
Finally, biostatistics courses were the bedrock of research design and project implementation courses.

PROFILE

Name: HODE, Dègnissou Armel Angelo Marie-Joël

Email: daamj87@gmail.com

Marie-Joel is a bilingual (French, English), agricultural economist from Benin Republic. His professional motivation is to improve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable people in the rural areas.
He is interested in development economics topics such as rural labor markets, poverty alleviation, food and nutrition security, agribusiness, climate change, and agricultural digitalization.
Marie’s two academic research projects focused on the “Financial profitability of African giant snail breeding” and the “Impact of rural employment on the well-being of small-scale rice farmers” in Benin. These dissertations underlined the linkages between agriculture, nutrition, and health to ensure a positive outcome of people' s well-being.
His professional experiences integrate public, private, international agricultural, and agritech firms. He believes research plays a crucial role in agribusiness, since it helps in efficient decisions-making. This explains his participation in the research and biostatistics courses offered by the Freya International Schools of Research & Implementation (FISORI).
Finally, Marie is a member of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), United Nations (UN) Nutrition, Farmer Field Schools of the Food and Agriculture Organization, etc. I also completed consultancy jobs with World Food Programme (WFP), World Bank, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
