What Did you enjoy about the Classes?
I enjoyed Research Methods (Research & Project Implementation) because it provided a strong foundation in understanding how research ideas are identified, developed, and translated into practical projects. The course clarified the step-by-step process of conducting research, from defining a problem and setting objectives to choosing appropriate methodologies and writing research proposals. This made research more structured and less intimidating.
Another aspect I enjoyed was the emphasis on project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Learning how research findings are applied in real-world settings helped me appreciate the importance of evidence-based planning and decision-making. The course showed how well-designed research can directly influence health programs, policies, and interventions, especially within public health and development contexts.
I also enjoyed Research Tools & Software in Biostatistics Programs because of its practical and hands-on nature. The course introduced me to statistical tools and software used to manage and analyze data, making abstract statistical concepts easier to understand. Working with real datasets improved my ability to organize data, generate tables and graphs, and interpret results accurately.
Finally, the integration of biostatistical software into research strengthened my analytical confidence. I appreciated learning how data analysis supports valid conclusions and informed decision-making in health research. Overall, both courses complemented each other by enhancing my research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for academic work and professional practice.
