Muyanja Umal is a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with over four years of specialized experience in high-acuity hospital environments. His career is distinguished by a profound commitment to patient advocacy and excellence in emergency, trauma, and critical care nursing. With a career spanning over 5years, Muyanja possesses a robust clinical foundation, enhanced by advanced certifications from prestigious institutions, enabling him to deliver exceptional care in the most demanding situations.
Accumulating over five years of experience, he has honed his skills in the most challenging hospital environments, including the High Dependency Unit (HDU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Emergency Department, and Theatre. A significant accomplishment was his completion of the prestigious Kampala Advanced Trauma Care Course, Pediatric acute intervention resuscitation skills,Research & project implementation , project planning ,implementation and management of donor funded projects and Good clinical practice as well as Human subject protection training.
Hailing from a humble background,Muyanja’s journey began with a burning desire to bridge societal gaps through research and extend Healthcare services to marginalized communities . Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing science top up from the prestigious Victoria University and a diploma in Comprehensive Nursing from Masaka School of Comprehensive Nursing, after which he embarked on a path less traveled, forging his own destiny. Muyanja’s early experiences working with local PNP organization and NGO’s fueled his passion for driving sustainable change, igniting the spark that would lead to his trailblazing social enterprises.
As a Nursing officer Muyanja is enthusiastic about evidence based Nursing practice as well as responsible for performing critical procedures such CPR ,staff training and orientation, patient assessment and record keeping in addition to overall patient care.
