Research tools & Software in biostatistics is very important for data collection, processing, and use for decision making.
I enjoyed the training because I got the new knowledge on data collection, analysis and using for decision making. I learn how to use epidata for data entry, Canva, SPSS, STATA, and advanced excel.
The trainers were knowledgeable about the subject matter. The training timing was perfect (weekend with multiple option to select my appropriate time). I got the chance to learn from peoples with different specialisation.
I am also happy getting African friends on the training.
I got the skills how to apply a wide range of fields, from biostatistics and to clinical research and This diversity keeps training interesting and relevant for various aspects of health Collaborative environment.
This was exciting because exploring new features and capabilities to enhance analytical skills. Career advancement: Using biostatistics tools and software can open up many career opportunities in the academic, industrial and government sectors.

Derese Teshome is an experienced health professional with over sixteen years of expertise in reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, WASH, and pharmaceuticals. He has extensive experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring health programs, collaborating with development partners, training, facilitating, and coordinating multi-sectoral activities.
Derese is skilled in financial and human resource management, monitoring and evaluation, research analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Jimma University, a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Paradise Valley College, and a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from the University of Gondar, and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
He professional career spans government and NGO health programs, where he has successfully integrated technical expertise with practical problem-solving. Committed to advancing public health, Derese combines leadership, research, and program management skills to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.
